The Art Institutes International Culinary Schools Best Teen Chef Scholarships is giving three winners the golden opportunity to win thousands in scholarship money. The Art Institutes, with more schools than there are states, have come up with the idea of creating a competition in the kitchen with many other goal-grabbing, future chefs trying to chase that cash. High school seniors and graduates from the United States, Canada (with the exception of Quebec), and Puerto Rico qualify to participate in the Best Teen Chef Competition. Participants must be the age of 16 or over.

If one believes that culinary arts is a true art form and that ingredients from various parts of the world are to be shared with everyone, then this competition is the right decision to make. One has to submit a recipe with a title, list of ingredients, directions, servings, and presentation ideas. The student or graduate must type up a statement of a minimum of 500 words as to why the are interested in studying at the Art Institutes. Criteria is broken down with essay and following requirements both 35% and dish appeal and ingredient creativity both 15%. A photo of the dish is optional.
